🧠 Preparation for the exercise
To make the exercises as realistic as possible, the door should be prepared beforehand:
-
Simplest option: Cover the strike plate with duct tape (door won't lock).
-
Alternatively: Tape over the trap so that it stays in the lock case.
-
Option: Use a door jamm or light wedge to narrow the gap.
This creates a realistic yet safe opening resistance that can be adjusted to the training situation. In our training video, we explain exactly how the door should be prepared.
🧱 Safety & Application
-
No risk of injury: Soft cutting edges and prongs bend under pressure.
-
No material damage: Rubber surface protects frames and door leaves.
-
No sparking: Safely suitable for indoor use.
