🧠 Systematic training
The ASA 2.0 was created to bring routine, realism, and familiarity to youth training. The dummy faithfully replicates the structure and operating principles of a real breathing apparatus – without the risks and costs of the original equipment, while simultaneously complying with the requirements of FwDV 7 and the accident insurance funds.
⚙️ Professional Edition vs. Elite Edition vs. Dräger Edition
All versions of the ASA share a common appearance . Visually, the only differences between the dummy units are very minor. The main differences lie solely in the ability to use accessories and the ability to disassemble the dummy unit like a genuine device.
The The Professional Edition offers the most budget-friendly entry into the field. For cost reasons, the cylinder valve and pressure regulator are made of rubber. However, this means they lack functionality and cannot be upgraded with accessories. All other components are identical to the Elite and Dräger Editions.
In the The Elite Edition features a cylinder valve and pressure reducer manufactured using a special 3D printing process. These significantly higher production costs are reflected in the price, but they also allow the dummy to be completely disassembled like a real breathing apparatus ( cylinder replacement ) and to attach accessories (e.g., pressure gauge , bridge for conversion to a twin-pack ). This model is therefore suitable for youth fire brigades that have more intensive training requirements .
The Dräger Edition is technically identical to the The Elite Edition , however, features the conical handwheel with three wings typically used by Dräger on the cylinder valve. Unlike the Elite Edition, this replica bears several Dräger logos across its entire surface. It is a strictly limited edition released in cooperation with Dräger , and end customers pay a discounted price.
🔩 Serial numbers, spare parts and accessories
Each ASA 2.0 has an individual serial number on its backplate.
This serves as a key for replacement and retrofit parts . Components cannot be issued without the serial number – please keep it safe!
Update kits will They will be released gradually. You can find them in our online shop.
🧱 Materials & Manufacturing
The ASA 2.0 is largely manufactured in Saxony and Baden-Württemberg , with finishing work taking place in Hesse . Only the carrying straps come from Deuter (made in Vietnam) – this ensures top quality and fair production conditions.
🧯 The Elite Edition in detail
The Elite Edition utilizes highly durable MJF 3D printed parts with an integrated steel thread core. For the manufacture of the pneumatic assembly. This design ensures exceptional durability while maintaining a consistently low weight. The pressure reducer also features two connections for future accessories (pneumatic lines to the front). The cylinder valve can be rotated, and the cylinder can be unscrewed from the device (just like the original).
🧾 Information about masks
The masks shown in the product photos (e.g., Auer 3S) are not included in the delivery . Whether mask bodies may be used in youth training must be individually coordinated with the fire department leadership and the accident insurance fund . Our models in the photos are wearing decommissioned mask bodies without internal components, visors, or valves .
